Drawing the Line is a collective of three local artists who draw for the sake of drawing. Katie Argyle, Gail Bourgeois and Shirley Yik will be exhibiting their collaborative works on paper for the first time this weekend only at Blink Gallery, Major’s Hill Park.
Drawing the Line at Blink opens with a reception on Thursday, August 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibit continues on Friday, August 5, 1 to 6 p.m., Saturday, August 6, noon to 5 p.m., and Sunday, August 7, noon to 5 p.m. All are welcome and admission is free.
During opening hours, the artists will respond with live drawing to the architecture and to the presence of visitors in the gallery. Come draw with them!
According to the DtL Collective: “We are process-based looking to enrich our own creative practices through drawing collaboratively. This engagement encourages each of us to stretch beyond our comfort zones. We relinquish control of our work and in return we find creative stimulation, spontaneous expression, and a greater willingness to experiment. What we create as a group would never be made by us as individuals.”
